When you think of the most famous breakups of all time, you probably think of Kim & Kanye, Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson, The Beatles, and Miami Beach & Spring Break.

Find Your Match is a 2.0 of Miami Beach’s previous smash hit campaign, Spring Breakup, in which they had a serious talk with spring breakers and decided to break off the toxic relationship. For Find Your Match, we needed to keep the conversation going without retreading old ground, so we started a conversation with ourselves about what we’re really looking for in a partner.

Find Your Match OLV

One of my first assignments at VML was to ideate a video script to launch Find Your Match.

A few months later, I got to go on set and watch the final script come to life. The video uses the visual stylings of dating apps, swiping through the kinds of activities you might be a perfect match for as a prospective Miami Beach suitor.

I also wrote some of the copy for the campaign’s landing page. Users can learn more about all the adventures the city has to offer by clicking on the profiles on the site.

What else did you do at VML?

I did a bunch of cool stuff during my internship at VML, here are a couple of the ones we’ve shipped so far.

Art Of Black Evergreen

Art of Black is a yearly celebration of Little Haiti’s African Diasporic art community. GMCVB wanted to mark its 10th anniversary by creating an evergreen template for the initiative, featuring copy from yours truly.

Find Your Wave

I also wrote copy for GMCVB’s Find Your Wave throughout my time at VML. This included everything from site banners to emails and even some print.
